A functional understanding of anatomy, gesture, and proportion is the foundation of any figural artwork. This class will help your portfolio stand out by training you in drawing the human figure, with tips and techniques for understanding and representing human anatomy, figure proportions, different poses and basic gestures. Working from a live nude model, you will develop an advanced understanding of how to render the human form convincingly from direct observation. Using a variety of materials and techniques, you will gain confidence in mark-making and grounding your figures in dynamic compositions.
