Portfolio Week
Hudson Valley Regional Portfolio Week gives local youth the opportunity to speak with college representatives, get their portfolio critiqued, and receive a true advantage as they contend for merit-based scholarships in the arts. For more than 20 years, Portfolio Week is able to provide a unique opportunity to high school, undergraduate, and Art Institute students free of charge thanks to a generous grant from a local foundation. The last two years, The Art Effect’s traditional Portfolio Day was able to pivot to a virtual event in response to the pandemic, with more than 340 portfolio reviews over the course of a full week! This unique virtual week-long event offers personal interaction which approximates the flow of an in-person event, allowing attendees the chance to explore additional schools they didn’t previously make appointments with when available.
Students are able to sign up for 15 minute portfolio review time slots from 4 – 8:00pm with various colleges over each of the three days of the virtual Portfolio Week each November. Choose and register for colleges below. Not sure which collages to visit with? Type your major(s) of interest into the keyword search field to see which schools are the best fit for you.
