Rick Price
Teaching Artist, Advanced Drawing and Painting + Color and Human Figure
Rick Price is an Artist from Southern California living in New York’s Hudson Valley. He attended design school at Cal Poly Pomona and received his MFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. He used it to land many successful years of mural painting in San Francisco. For the past 20 years, aside from continual commission work, he has shown various permutations of his work in small galleries and shows in L.A., San Francisco, New York City and the Hudson Valley. More recently his work has been featured in group shows at Abend Gallery, Zhao B. Art Center, and Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia. Rick’s work in recent years has primarily focused on finding his center using themes related to his family as his primary inspiration. He currently is the Chair of the Visual Arts Department at the Harvey School in Katonah, NY. He also teaches painting at SUNY Ulster. He lives in Beacon, NY with his wife and sons and countless animals.
