The Art Effect

Hi! I’m Avery. I’m a 21-year-old lifelong artist who loves music, animals, cartoons, and everything expressive. I recently graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with my BFA in Animation and recently was accepted to CUNY Lehman’s Masters of Art Education program. Although I have worked with kids since I was a pre-teen, this is my first time as an official teacher and I could not be more excited. That being said — ANIMATION is what I’ll be teaching this summer at DAC Poughkeepsie!!! My philosophy as an artist and teacher is to prioritize diversity, student-led activities, and lots of material exploration.
