Teaching Artist, Animation

Hello! I’m a filmmaker and musician from the Hudson Valley. I currently attend Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where I major in Film and Television Production. In my free time, I love writing songs on my guitar, hiking and running, watching strange movies, and trying (and often failing) to read difficult books. Some artists who inspire me and my work a lot are the authors Italo Calvino and Mark Z. Danielewski, the filmmakers Jordan Peele and Matt Johnson, and the cartoonist Gary Larson. This summer, I’ll be teaching my students as much as I can about animation, from 2D to stop-motion/claymation & beyond. My goal is to show them that ANYONE can animate, that animation takes many forms, and that we can surprise ourselves with just how cool our animations can turn out to be. Pronouns: He/Him/His
