The Art Effect Announces Affiliation with Barrett Art Center to Expand Youth and Community Opportunities for the Arts in Poughkeepsie
Two Legacies, One FutureThe Art Effect and Barrett Art Center are coming together in an exciting, transformational affiliation bringing together the largest arts organization with the oldest arts organization in the Hudson Valley. (For more information click here).
The affiliation will open doors of new opportunities for The Art Effect and Barrett Art Center, creating spaces that match the breadth of the combined mission and merged identity—a true manifestation of our shared vision where youth and community come together to create and experience art in all of its forms. This affiliation will not affect any current programming.
Together, The Art Effect and Barrett Art Center will grow and deepen our impact in the community in exciting new ways. Most importantly, we will expand our current exhibition collaboration to establish a comprehensive teen curatorial program. The new series of high-caliber exhibitions and programs at the Trolley Barn Gallery will create unique opportunities for arts education, gathering, showing, and experiencing art in our community.
