Creativity thrives as campers explore their artistic abilities, play games, and make lasting friendships at Dutchess Arts Camp! Enjoy beautiful outdoor spaces, ceramic kilns, a theater, art studios, and other creative spaces!
The theme for Week 1 is Patterns & Pirates! Discover the vast sea of colors and shapes in this pattern and pirate-filled week! Students will perform silly sea shanties, paint polka-dot pirate portraits, craft ceramic sea creatures, collaborate on giant patterned coral reef murals, and discover buried treasure!
Our experienced and friendly counselors and teaching artists support fun, hands-on art-making with various mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, animation, and performance, based on engaging weekly camp themes. The pieces created at camp will portray your child's individuality, tapping into each camper’s specific interests.
Daily schedules include opening and closing circles, structured art instruction, snacks, lunch, and outside play.
Early drop-off available for an additional $25/day (no earlier than 8:15 am)
Late pick-up available for an additional $25/day (no later than 4:45 pm)

The Junior Art Institute is a 2 week skill-building program meant to take art lovers and make them into future artists! During their time with us students will learn to use complex fine art and digital art techniques and skills to develop their very own body of work. Students will reccieve feedback from working artists in the industry, create a community of peers, and explore new materials while expanding their artistic knowledge!
Fine Arts students this summer will explore drawing, painting, introductory figure drawing, and stop motion animation! These intensive art courses will teach students the various concepts of 2D and 3D art while showing them the many possibilities and outcomes these techniques and materials offer. The Junior Art Institute Fine Arts track is perfect for students serious about fine art and developing their skill set.
Students are asked to bring a sketchbook. All other materials are included.

Our experienced and friendly counselors and teaching artists support fun, hands-on art-making with various mediums, including painting, sculpture, collage, animation, and performances, based on engaging weekly camp themes. The theme for Week 2 is Fungi & Friends! This week of camp is going to be so MUSH fun! Explore the forest floor and all its inhabitants by making toadstool gnome houses, paint collabrative mushroom landscapes, and create your own fungi friend!
A final showcase each Friday will display all of the campers’ artwork and show off their learned performances to friends and family. Daily schedules include opening and closing circles, structured art instruction, snacks, lunch, and outside play.

Teaching artists will help students sculpt dinosaur skeletons, animate their own silly prehistoric stories, create giant dino paintings, and perform like the T-Rex would if invited to a dance party!
A final showcase each Friday will display all of the campers’ artwork and show off their learned performances to friends and family. Daily schedules include opening and closing circles, structured art instruction, snacks, lunch, and outside play.

Teaching artists will guide students through retro robot dance moves, contrast color code paintings, animating their own rainbow parties, creating giant rainbow robots, and making mini ceramic robot friends!

The theme for Week 4 is Glitter & Goblins! A little bit of magic and a little bit of mischief. Join us for a week of fairytale creatures and all things that sparkle! Students in this week of camp will get to perform as magical and myth-like creatures, sculpt glittering toadstools, and design their very own goblin characters!
